Village-Style Pita Bread

Two young girls holding pita bread.

Fresh pita bread is a real treat. It can be eaten at any meal as an accompaniment to meat or vegetable dishes, and it goes great on its own with feta cheese. In this recipe Danae pan fries her pitas. You can also cook them on any very hot cooktop, turning them regularly for a few minutes only until they are done. Kali orexi!
